My batik skirt STILL bears the hole from where I backed up a lil too close to the Jailhouse heater.. I'll never forget smelling somethin burning and thinkin "Uh-oh, someone's on fire".. Only to realize that I was the only one THAT close to a heater, lol.. D'OH!! (smacks forehead)
 Blush  giggle

Pretty sure we've all done it April! I melted the back hem of my rain jacket last year and the back of a pair of running pants the year before. Jailhouse means to make real heat when they turn those things on!

There's really no way around it... Rob & Tom of Jailhouse are HOTLOL LOL LOL

I know I stayed home until Sunday because of the weather, and I missed your bday dinner Hope. I talked to Hooch or Ron on Sat. and was  told  a hailstorm had just ended. I live so close I decided to sleep in my warm bed and go up the next day, because as you know my tent is nice but it is NOT warm at night.

I also remember that during the actual festival I only made it to the tarps once each day during the daytime because to me it felt really hot, and I don't deal with heat all that well when there are that many people around. At camp I can hear the music and sit in the shade so that is where I spent most of the actual festival days. (And besides, it's closer to the bar)!
Nights are always cold, even though you will see folks in shorts and sandals at 2a.m., but they are just numb from nightgrass and don't even realize it's half what the daytime temp was.  It's all good.  Warm up, cool down, take clothes off, put clothes on, burn your butt at the jailhouse, it's all good.

The best way to stay warm at night, in my opinion, is to dance like a mad man. Movement will keep the circulation circulating.

(Of course, warm clothes help, too).

Sorry but, I must disagree. My Jo is the best way to stay warm at night!

I hope it warms up in the next month! It's 6p.m. here, 50 degrees, and I just lit a fire in the stove! I think it's supposed to start getting warmer this weekend, and by next month hopefully these cold days will be history, and only the nights will be cold.

Just to bring this to the top so you don't have to go to the last page to see my first post...

As I do every year, here's what I predict for this year:

Windy and Warm... kinda like last year, but..

Highs during the day during pre-fest: low 60's to mid 70's.
Lows during the night during pre-fest: mid 40's to low 30's with a chance of frozen water jugs.
Highs during the day the week of festival: mid to upper 70's to low 80's.
Lows during the night the week of festival: mid 40's to low 50's (but it'll feel colder).
Windy conditions during the week, with possible gusts in the 20-40 mph range.
Chance of showers: 30% to 40% early in the week to 10% to 20% late in the week, but mostly dry.

Note: This a a "prediction" not a "forecast".
