Well, Hooch's of course!   Evil

Seriously (can I say that with a straight face?), any of them!

It's only cause he looks so much better in that damn lampshade than his campmates  Flower Seriously, I would direct you to the grand viewing area of Run a Muck, there are many super cool folks up there just waiting with open arms. No matter what Huckin Fappy says,  they don't bite. SUR

just a word of advice, caveat crunchyfrog  LOL

i volunteered last year and it was fun, i was bummed to miss a few of my favorite bands but since i worked the kids tent i was close enough to still hear the tunes!  also, make friends w/ your fellow volunteers...it'll come in handy when you need to switch shifts!

Yeah, I thought volunteering would be a good way to make friends.  I don't know where I'm working yet.

It sounds like I better make my camping plans soon too!  Everyone has me thinking the best camping goes fast.

Okay,  it looks like the high school or Lawson Hill are the only camping places left.  Which is better?  It says Lawson is 3 miles from the festival  Frown I would rather be close.  How far is the high school from the festival?

Volunteering was a blast...did it in 2003.  Definitely work backstage if you can.  I got to meet Vince Gill, Michael Kang and Allison Krauss--super fun.  That being said, I have rented a condo/house the last two years so I am unfamiliar with the camping situation as of late.

You are more than welcome to hang with my crew--we have a friggin blast.  A mechanical engineer, IT professional, and me the Funeral Director or I mean Fundirector!!!  Our house is right next to Town Park.  Facebook me--Matty Boyle.  Party time!!

Camp Run a Muck

There are still a few tickets left for Illium, and out of the remaining camp sights, that would be my first choice. It's the farthest away from the festival, but it has shade (something Lawson and the HS lack) and you can have alcohol (something the HS lacks). The shuttles will get you to the festival on time. I've heard of others having problems with them, but I never did when I stayed there. As long as you plan accordingly, you should be fine.

Scratch that. They did sell out. In that case, it depends on whether you're going to want to drink and/or pick late into the night. IF neither of those appeal to you, the High School would be great. It's got quiet hours and is pretty close to the festival. You could walk there, but be prepared for the altitude. I'm not sure where you're from, but if you're not used to the altitude, it can leave you breathless (literally) (sorry, I had to go there). They also have shuttles running between the High School and the Festival Grounds.

Thanks Hot Sugar,

Man! I wish I had gotten camping tickets sooner.  I like to drink and cruise the late night pickin, plus I prefer to be close to the festival.

I'm sure it will still be fun, and I'll no better for next year.

Wave Keep posting and asking for TP or Warner Field in the Ticket/Swap forum.  Many people get their tickets that way right up to June. It's way better closer to fest, but High School works good for sleeping.  I never went there other than to rest, so quiet was good!

I will have to plan earlier next year as well. Can't expect the newbies to hit a home run their first time at bat  LOL

But a couple of my friends were going to buy Mary E tickets today, cause of pay day. But missed out. Oh well, nothing could possibly hender anyones  experience at this fest. Or it shouldn't at least. Lol

Seriously (can I say that with a straight face?), any of them!

Why do I keep getting singled out as the bad guy and/or friendly guy and/or the source of all things bacon and boozy????  Let's make fun of Billy Beru for a while since there are at least 13 things wrong with him that makes him an easy target.

Hooch honey, he said you have a whole CAMPGROUND! Does that mean it is invitation only? If so, this is my R.S.V.P.  And Billy? Shoot, he didn't even have his tent anywhere near Hooch's Campground last year. We could call it Hooch's KOA.  Krazies Only Allowed.

Helloooo CindyLou!  Okay, you are in with the Krazies.  Billy is pretty good at avoiding the loonies, but sounds like he may brave a closer spot this year.
