Last year I brought all the song books and gave them out along the Goddess Walk About - otherwise known as the Chick Parade (insert little chick icon here   - Tom?).   


Anyway, this year if you would like a songbook - come by Camp Get Enough.  It's a scavenger hunt, if you can find me, you can have a book (as long as supplies last). 

If musicians want chords, musicians can sent me the music with chords, otherwise I'll just add the new songs to the list and take out the one with type-o's for Hurricane Michelle. - if I remember.

*Cole Porter was credited with sole authorship when
the song was published, but he had essentially
re-worked a poem written earlier by Robert Fletcher.
Fletcher,
who worked for the Dept. of Highways in Helena, MT, is
the one who wrote the "roadside history" placques that
were seen along the state's highways until the
1980s.  Fletcher sold the poem/song to Porter for a
small sum when Porter was asked to write a cowboy song
for the film.   Porter wanted to give Fletcher
co-authorship credit, but his publishers would not
allow that.  Later, after the song got so popular,
Fletcher hired legal advice and his attorneys
negotiated his
being given proper co-authorship credit in subsequent

Having the chance to see the very first what in tarnation incarnation of the the original O'boys at the Boulder Theatre which produced ODD MAN IN or at least was the first chance live that played to the Disc, reflectively brings back some mighty fine memories. The crowd was jolly, the band was enormous and the evening seemed to go on for ever and ever. Truly magical in it's self. An evening never to forget. I'll always remember the gracefulness of the dancers that evening and Tim wondering if anyone would dance to the new band. Well, duh!

This one always brings a tear to the eye or at least a goosey bump on the skin whenever Tim lets loose on this one. There is nothing like looking into Kit's eyes when he sings this one to her everytime wherever she may be. Again, if you are without this disc, ODD MAN IN, you are seriously missing out and it is highly recommended that you procur this mighty fine disc.
