Even tho I grew up in Chicago, I never encountered Malort.  Perhaps I WAS raised right.

So I did a little research into it.  Here is what one site said:

"While we can (mostly) all agree that Malört tastes, um, unsavory, we can’t all seem to agree the specific way in which the liquor ravages our taste buds. Professional food and drink writers and anonymous internet commenters alike have taken on the great task of identifying Malört’s unique putridity. So we collected our favorite descriptions of this utterly un-sippable Chicago drink, for your heaving pleasure."

Unsavory?  Ravages taste buds?  Putrid?  Un-sippable?  Sounds absolutely WONDERFUL!

Uh Oh, I didn't mean it Paul.  

Last year I got a group of ladies to do a shot of Malort with me (they were not impressed) and the bottle fell over. I just watched it spill for a second and pondered if I should pick it up. Unfortunately for Paul and others apparently, I saved it.  

I like the taste of the frog.  Look forward to it annually.  Not so on the Malort.

I think this year we will put a donation bucket out and you have to throw a dollar in to NOT have to take a shot of Malort. I will then bring all proceeds to Run-A-Muck so we can further support the "good" town park shot.  Wouldn't want to reward the bad behavior down in Camp Gnome Gname.

The slogans for said abhorrent liquor are pretty great though:

Working on a case of packable mini bottles for 2019.  They just released them and they're tarp friendly!

Also trying to get Nate one of these for rapid fire dispersal of pain:
