I'd also love to see a set of all-star pickers playing a tribute set to one of the fallen legends, like John Hartford, or Doc Watson for example.

I'd love a Billy Strings Doc Watson tribute set.

I third Donna The Buffalo! Just saw their set at the Caribou Room last week and they put the scald on! It's been 17 years since they've been at TBF and I think they're due.

I '4th' Donna the Buffalo! They have such great energy. Their show at the Caribou room was great!

Another band that I keep asking to be brought back is Poi Dog Pondering. They are another unique band with amazing energy.

If Dave Nelson is up to touring, would be willing to bet the DNB would be a crowd favorite ... and perhaps offer an interesting opportunity for collaboration with Peter Rowan.  Nobody is getting any younger.

(And  they probably wouldn't cost PB very much, relatively).

I don't know what their future plans are in light of Andy's recent passing but it has been a very long time since we have had the chance to enjoy Railroad Earth in Telluride!

I'll second a vote for RRE as well ... although not sure either about their plans.

I am such as huge RRE fan. To see them play at Telluride would be so nice.
They headlined last May in KC, Bluegrass in the Bottoms. Andy had just went on hiatus from the tour.
Though it wasn't the same without his banjo rolls, the set was still solid.
I think all RRE fans will feel a big hole in RRE's sound without Andy.

RRE did just announce their Winter schedule.

Kara Jean recs Molly Tuttle

You beat me to it.  She's due.  Without a doubt.  JerryD just tapped her to join the Transatlantic Sessions tour of the UK in February.  She's making waves all over the place.

We keep flying over because we love the festival ( and to get my annual Greensky fix) but I’d also love to see Alison Kraus and Union Station. She has never played in Australia. I must admit, I loved her when she played with the band, not quite as excited as a solo but I do love her voice.

I would also love to see Rhiannon Giddens again and I still talk about the OhHellos. They put on a fantastic live show.

Cannot wait!

We caught Alison Krauss here in Houston a couple of months ago. Might just be the best show for 2018. Some guy named Robert Plant turned me on to her. We saw them together at Austin City Limits Festival and New Orleans Jazz Fest. Will travel several miles to see her again.

2.Richard Thompson
3.Snarky Puppy
4.Uncle Earl

I'd only hope that the Punch Brothers return again. I don't really like picking favorites, but if there was only one acoustic act record in my desert island bag, it be them. I'd second all the other suggestions as well.

How come they don't turn the banjo up?
