Bob Weir & The Wolf Bros

Hoping they'll be playing over the summer even if Dead & Company is touring.  Just saw them in Albuquerque and believe this ensemble would be a great fit.  They played half acoustic / electric mixed throughout the evening ... including several from his recent campfire album.  The interesting thing for me was how Bobby was able to "spread his wings" within the context of a trio and deliver a "show" ... where time just stops.   There weren't any sit-ins in ABQ, but believe the TBF would offer up at least a couple of willing participants!

Practically speaking:  as a trio, they're likely to be relatively "cheap" to fill out the space as a headliner for one night.  Also, Weir doesn't seem to draw overwhelming crowds on his own ... so no fear of being inundated, yet at the same time would be very appealing to a large contingent of long time festivarians.

I stumbled upon Colter Wall yesterday.  Not bluegrass but I would love to hear him live.  Fantastic songwriter and such a unique sound for his age.

I know she's classified as more folk genre, but Id love to see Ani DiFranco at Telluride.  Her musical diversity is amazing!

We keep flying over because we love the festival ( and to get my annual Greensky fix) but I’d also love to see Alison Kraus and Union Station. She has never played in Australia. I must admit, I loved her when she played with the band, not quite as excited as a solo but I do love her voice.

I would also love to see Rhiannon Giddens again and I still talk about the OhHellos. They put on a fantastic live show.

Cannot wait!

yes Donna the Buffalo!! Clap

Their TBF Saturday set back in the day was so good.  Epic Salmon set came after too.

Another year Saturday I think Rowan with Salmon played Free Mexican Air Force, and before them (or maybe Friday), King Wilkie.  King Wilkie's set was so so good and all the women were swooning.

I'd recommend King Wilkie, but I think they no longer exist.  They took a different turn, but that Telluride set was something else.  Right proper gentlemen, those southern boys.  Funny too.

 Cheers

I don't know what their future plans are in light of Andy's recent passing but it has been a very long time since we have had the chance to enjoy Railroad Earth in Telluride!

How about Cat Stevens, if they let him in the country.

I'm always down for a Bad Livers reunion, or any Danny Barnes project.

I'd also love to see a set of all-star pickers playing a tribute set to one of the fallen legends, like John Hartford, or Doc Watson for example.
