I do wish that they would come around and hand out numbers at 3AM at least one night to catch the folks that are leaving empty chairs in line from 1AM on and coming back at 5:30 or so and claiming low numbers.   My experience has been that you can get in front of the soundboard if you are in the TP line during the last set of the night before.  Not center, but pretty darn close.  If you want to be center and in front you need to be in line by dinner time (even though that does not officially happen  Wink)

So the non-official idea was when the last band started to play you could get in line, however, people line up there chairs on the other side next to the volleyball court then scoot them over as soon as possible. We usually have the newbies sit in line, sometimes we take turns. People sit in line until the late night shows are done then they take over. I keep hoping the youngsters in our group will get old enough for me to pay them to sit in line. Maybe in a few more years. OK reality I haven't sat in line since my first TBF in 2002. I always some how talk my way out of it. I should quit talking now before I have to sit in line. LOL

My friend's teenage son made good money sleeping in line for one of the bigger camps.  Everyone pitched in.  "Keeps 'em off the streets and out of the rum balls."

To bad you can't bring dogs.  Neptune (my dog) would sit there provided no squirrels ran by.  And if no birds landed nearby and if...nevermind.

Who could argue with that. He'd just keep smiling at all those disgruntled folks who didn't have a flat guy to help them out!  I love it!

If you do a lot of dancing, you don't have to worry about the tarp line at all. Who needs a hot sticky tarp when you have feet (please no offense to those without feet!) dancing

Watching the tarp run has always been one of my favorite activities, participating, I'm still working on that one.

I have another video I just have to share, some of you might have already seen this.  It was floating around right after festival last year... the TBF tarp run is famous!!!!!

This gets good at about a minute in, I know that's shirtless Gordo running by, can you spot anyone else?

Everybody shout "One more set, One more set!"

I really love all this "being there", I could do without the packing prep.  I know, no pain no gain.

 Cheers

That is THE BEST! Thank you for giving me a good laugh. I love that idea, and then Ron really would be there! We'd just have to make sure he got a poncho on if it starts to rain. Cheers
