OK, OK. Even by my standards, this has been too teasy.

I will say, that, finally, the name has arisen... some of you have guessed it.....

I think there's a sign on Ferg's wall:

Remember:
Announce
the
lineup
TOMORROW!

Then he thinks, "Hmmm, I'm supposed to announce it when?  Tomorrow?  OK."

Pat Flynn is playing with Leon Russell.
But for all this speculation about the old codger the band we need back in Telluride is Horseshoes and Hand Grenades. In the three and a half years since they played in the band competition they have become the best young band in the country. Selling out every place in Wisconsin or Minnesota that they play or being everyone's favorite opening act (Greensky Bluegrass, Yonder, String Dusters, Jeff Austin, Larry Keel, Railroad Earth and The Traveling McCourys) to name a few. The holiday show that they just played was unbelievable good. The energy that they get from the single mic allows them to connect with the audience. They might have the most energy efficient bus in the music industry. They are a band built for Telluride. See them this winter they are doing a couple of trips to Colorado as well as tours with Yonder and Greensky.

You have to remember that Planet Bluegrass orbits the sun in a different path than the rest of earth thus the days are of different lengths of time. But this allows more time to festivate when on the planet.

Alright, alright, alright...

We're going to post the initial TBF 2016 lineup tomorrow morning to our website.  Which means... I'll put the full lineup here late tonight before it hits our website.

In the meantime, here are a few more advance leaks that I'm particularly excited about...

Bela Fleck & The Flecktones
Emmylou Harris
Dave Rawlings Machine
Kruger Brothers with the Kontras Quartet

And an inspiring Sunday morning set with Shane Koyczan & The Short Story Long

Thanks Brian, it must be difficult to come up with a lineup that has to meet or exceed expectations rather than sell tickets. Add the usual suspects and we have a great start to another great year.
