I've been listening to Sturgill Simpson a lot lately.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6gBV-Nzq7Pg

Wow yummmmm!!!!!

His new album, Metamodern Sounds in Country Music, is just plain awesome.  I love psychedelic country music.

If you like Sturgill, check out these guys.  I posted them somewhere (maybe even in this thread), but I'll post them again because they are just that good.

Just got my copy of "Let It Go" on vinyl, so that's been playing in my house a lot lately. I really hope The Dusters are on the lineup this year. One year without them was hard enough; two years in a row with no Dusters at Telluride would be painful!

One CD I put on random play every night when I go to bed.

Moody Bluegrass

I've never heard a tribute album done so tastefully. Thumbs Up

TT

Moody Bluegrass is a great CD.  Several of the contributors are regulars on the Telluride stage.

Very excited to see Sam Bush.....not quite so excited about crunchy frog, but hey what's the worst it could do?

You know that we Aussies are very obsessed with cane toads don't you? They are feral and they are destroying large parts of our country and wildlife. Some folks freeze them....erk
Maybe I'll add a little Cane Toad toxin to the Crunchy Frog next summer to help tone it down a little.  Welcome to the fun Australian Fan!  I look forward to making fun of your accent!

Well this morning was a bit slow getting started I plugged in my Hackensaw boys and sweet petunia came on certainly got my feet moving along with a half a pot of coffee...  I kept staring at the album cover and it's a water tower that says..... Love What You Do....  And then I thought about the hour and a half commute I was about to endure and thought to myself I hate what I do but it provides me the money to do what I love... And I love leaving all this behind and headin to the hills to hear those strings ring every year.. I am pretty sure there a few thousand people who might agree...  but then again.

Don't worry, Hooch thinks he's funnier than he actually is. I'm the former professional comedian and, therefor, the one you have to worry about!  Cheers

The key word in that sentence is former.

"Keep your day job till your night job pays". I guess that didn't pan out in your case. OUCH!  Evil

My brother turned me on to Michael Kiwanuka recently; he is an English singer/songwriter and has connections to Mumford and Sons (is on their label, I believe). Really cool 70s R&B sound to a lot of his stuff. Check him out!

Just because someone bought you a beer to get you off stage, doesn't make you a professional! LOL
