chefboyhowdy,

A few things have changed since you were there last. There's a new(er) stage and Baked in Telluride has all new digs, but in the same spot. I'm sure there's more but I don't want to spoil all the surprises.  Wink

Looking forward to meeting you in person!

I am a Town Park Virgin arriving Wed. early am, and have a couple of questions: Will I be able to still find a camping spot?  Also, I am interested in some slow jams (I play fiddle, and am just learning to jam)- are there any slow jams in Town Park are are they all pretty advanced?  Finally, what is a good neighborly fun thing to bring to Town PArk?  I have a homemade cornhole set - would that take up too much space?   I can not wait to get there!!!   Wave

You will be able to fit in on many jams.  There are many levels & you will find out you will be welcome to sit in on many of them.  If you are by yourself, camping-wise, just ask an existing camp where you can set up & they will happily oblige.  As for the cornhole set, you may not want to waste your time with that since the Festival will start the day after you arrive....then, no time for that....IMHO.  Enjoy!  You are gonna have a blast!   Cheers

Mnt mama: feel free to set up your tent by ours. We may not return until Thursday am, but will have a three room tent set up, probably in primitive area of town park by Sunday night. Look for flamingo bird spinner on our tent. Most of our Durango group is in a semi-serious band called Group Shower, and they could use a fiddle ( have guitars, bass, and mandolin, sometimes drums)! And we play corn hole! If that's what I think it is.....:)

Definition of Heaven on earth: Drinking bacon-infused beer and eating dark-chocolate with bacon while participating in a jam session in Town Park on the eve of TBGF.  And to think, this can actually be my reality in 10 days!!!!  The world is wonderful!!!   :)

My husband and I will be first timers and we are getting a little stressed about prepping to held to Bluegrass.  Couple of questions-how jammed packed will we be camping-we got tickets to camp at the high school, any suggestions on items to bring other than the usual-like quarters for the showers?  Curious how they decide who gets what spot and such.....any help would rock...

spots are first come first serve. as for jam packed? space will not be wasted but you won't have to share a tent with a neighbor.

The showers closest to you would be the ones located in the high school, so you don't need to worry about the quarters. The showers in Town Park are coin operated, but you can pay cash for the showers at the high school.
