Okay so we are camping out at the Matterhorn CG outside of town. Will I be able to find parking anywhere close when coming into town for the concerts?  I'm not sure what the program is or if there is some kind of bus or taxi service I'll need to get to and from the event.  Appreciate any advise.

The Town of Telluride is blocked/closed to traffic during Festivaaal. There are parking areas with free shuttles. Also, there are parking areas in Mountain Village where you can walk to, then ride the free gondola which drops you a few blocks away from the fest entrance. I believe the least walking you'd do is with shuttle, but the gondola is waay more fun and scenic!  Thumbs Up

Ok, I admit, I'm not a virgin but I still have a question I'm hoping you can help with.  My group is thinking about buying and bringing either a propane fire pit or an upright propane heater.  What are the restrictions on these things? huh

P.S.  Camping at Town Park

As long as you don't put any wood in the fire pit you're just fine.
No restrictions on propane heat as long as you're careful not to get it close to flammables. Thumbs Up

We are very excited to have a vehicle pass this year to bring our pop-up tent trailer for the old bones. How early ought we to arrive to still be able to maneuver it in? We arrived 2 years ago on Wednesday, and really had to wedge our ground tent in.
 Cheers

Saturday June 16!
If you get there any later you may not find a spot to park it without being in the middle of the road. EEK!

Would it be breaking any town park etiquette to set up our 3 room tent on the Sunday before, then go back to Durango to works a few days, coming back Wednesday night or Thursday morning to occupy said tent?

Not really. Flower
You may ask a neighbor just to keep an eye on things so that nobody sets up camp at your front door. Wink

So how exactly do the campgrounds work as far as strictness to getting in? I am heading in solo and my friends are in Town Park but I am not due to late arrangement of funds and plans (heading in solo from MI). Will I be able to hang out and visit them in TP as long as I'm not setting up camp there? Thanks

Anyone can get into Town Park through Wednesday, then, after that, you must have a Town Park or Warner Field wristband to get into Town Park.   Thumbs Up

It is very strict after Wed.  You must have the appropriate wristband- you will be checked....
