The Horrifying Truth of Jealousy

Dear Festivarians,

I just need to be honest: jealous doesn't cut it for the feeling I have for everyone gearing up and heading out in the next little while. If I could hit the box canyon every year, I would, and I know I'm not alone.

In the meantime, I will get over myself and wish everyone a GREAT festival. If every carnivore eats a flank steak for those of us who can't be there, and every beer drinker has a beer, and everyone keeps well hydrated, we might feel a mild sense of satisfaction steaming KOTO over our humble computers.

Let me me the first to say that I'm sorry you can't make it, but that I'll gladly eat a killer flank steak sandwich on your behalf.  I might even drink a beer, or two, on your behalf.   

If I drink a ton of beer, on your behalf, will that mean you can manage the hangover, on my behalf?  I'll give that a shot and let you know how that works out for me...

Been there, done that, THANKS KOTO!...hope to never have to ever again!  Last year was my first ever 2nd in a row, and this year is my first 3rd in a row in the 16 years since I first came to Festivaaal!. Here's to setting more records!

Hey, we all have to do our part

Riding the Galloping Goose Trail today into Ilium Valley to Ames waterfall:  duck and ducklings, goose and goslings, beaver, and a bear doing about 50 mph up the trail in front of me, that made me stop, not to mention bugs and butterflies galore.

I mistakenly said I was jealous of a paragliding bud, as I chose family.  Truly not jealous/ envious.  Perhaps the Paragliding will be even better after the many blessings since choosing family.  Praise be to the Almighty.

Amen. At least I know that the Pilgrim Krewe will be crossing the CO border in a week! Our hearts go out to those who can't make the trip this year. We'll raise a cup (or three) to you all.
