Ugh.  My company is sending me off on a new project, so now instead of joining you lovely festivarians on Monday, I can't make it until Thursday.  My camp compadres are saving me a spot, but that means I'm missing out on all the fantastic festivating that week.  Y'all drink bloody marys and eat some rum-balls for me!  And that virgin sacrifice may just have to wait...  Wink

Linds

But you still get to be there for a little while, Linds. That's the best part!  Thumbs Up

Oh, and you drink rumballs, not eat them.  Flower

You'll get there for Pre-Fest one day. I'm sure of it!  Thumbs Up

This thread has been a relief to read…thanks people, for reminding me how awesome festivarians are.

I'm a TBF virgin whose friends wouldn't jump in, and actually am still figuring out which way to go (TP at $275, Mary E at 195). Didn't even realize I needed a dang vehicle pass too. Driving from Boulder, headed to the Pac NW after the 'fest…and it looks like I've got to kennel my road buddy (a 4-month-old awesome collie/cattle/shepherd pup).

Any insight from you experienced folk is seriously welcome! Am scouring the forum, trying to learn what I can. I can't arrive before Tues, but I can pitch in for remaining feats of strength then…and would love to land in a great community.

Would love to meet you other first-timers too, topdog, linds & whoever else…!

you only need a vehicle pass if you need to be in / use your vehicle.  otherwise you can park in town/ mtn village in a designated area and leave it for free.

If you don't like something, change it.  Otherwise change the way you feel about it.

afganidan, you can't go wrong at either location.  Mary E. is beautiful and more "traditional" camping (if you usually camp with a dozen tents withing spitting distance of your own).  Stayed there last year and loved it but for the shuttle ride.  (Many folks aren't fazed by this, but I found it to be a pain.)  Town Park still seems to be available on this forum and is at the steps of the festival grounds.  This is our first year in TP, but there's a TON if great info out there to help you make your decision.  Flower

Oh, and DON'T WORRY!  Time for worry is past...time to get excited!!!  :dance

Thumbs Up All are great, but if given a choice, TP pass is clearly the better way to go. Unload your stuff, park your car and never see wheels the rest of your Festivaaal! (btw, I have TP passes posted in TBF tix exchange) You'll see why when you're there, in this mountain festivaaal paradise... Cheers

Thanks a ton, Skubes and swander99! Swander, I saw your posts in the TBF tix exchange, actually…I love how the festivarians here adamantly frown on scalping, and actually do something about it.

Please let me know if anyone has kennel advice for the area, that would also be greatly appreciated!

No more worrying, you're right…time to abide...   The Dude
