By the way Billy, I still have one of your festival chairs that you gave me two years ago.  It's a little off-topic but not really.  Get your happy ass to Colorado already.  Sheesh!

Thanks, Hooch - you mean the chair I loaned you until I moved there?  LOL

Any chance you are bringing that chair to TBF this year? If so, that's one less chair I have to buy again. If not, no sweat, I will have to pick it up when I swing by GJ one of these days.

Hey Billy good luck to ya. My wife and I share the same sentiments about moving as you do.We are stuck here in Fl. Not a bad life by any stretch of the imagination just want to experience new scenery in life.Live music is definitely better out there as well  We are looking at Colorado, Oregon, or Northern California and have been on a two year plan for two years. Our house is the only thing holding us back. I evaluate our plans everyday and am just waiting for the opportunity.

Thanks and good luck to you! Yeah, owning is tough now huh? I will put my place back on the market in a bit. I've decided if it doesn't sell then I'm going to rent it out.

This one time.....after Telluride (just this past TBF '08)  I woke up one morning, about a week or so home from TBF, and said "I'm leaving Las Vegas" and as of July 22, 2008 I have been a resident of beautiful Denver, Colorado!     (some Thanks to Jen-gipper is in order!)

Hurry up and get here before the weather changes!!!

Two months shy of two-years! Wow, does time move....

An update on my progress - I hit a speed bump (or rather she hit me  Evil) but I'm past that and back on track!  Thumbs Up

Colorado, I look forward to seeing you soon!  Rockin
Hey BillyB here is a thought on your house for sale. Alot of folks are in the same position, they can't sell but need or want to relocate. I know you can trade houses for vacation in other places, but what about finding someone that whants to move to California from Colorado and swapping out houses?? I know this has been done and I think it was on Craigs list.

Hey Miki  Wave,

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, that is something I am going to consider.

I actually live in Washington, DC (in the Adams Morgan neighborhood) so if you know anyone who wants live in a cool 1 bedroom with a view of the Washington Monument and wants to hang in Barack's town then please pass them my way!
 Cheers

Wave Billy!  Wave  Sorry we didn't get to meet last summer.  So you feel like taking a fellow Virginian with you out there lol!!!  After last summer I've been trying to convince the wife that moving is a must.  Anyone feel like twisting her arm a bit more for me?!

Hello friends,

Well, I have been thinking about this for a while but this year's Colorado/Utah/Telluride experience has finally done it - I must move to Colorado and I've given myself two years to do it.

So, question for all you folks - where in Colorado should a current east coaster (though I've also lived in LA, Dallas, and Charlotte) move to?

Right now, my top choice is Boulder. My goal is to keep my same job which means I will need to be near an airport.

So, I wanted your thoughts on best places to live - again, keep in mind that I am not retiring in Colorado, but moving there. Appreciate your thoughts!

Hey, BB... I believe you owe us an update!!  Wave

Jen, you are correct, an update is needed.

***UPDATE***

The eagle (and his beagle) have landed in Boulder!   :hop :hop :hop

Touchdown occurred July 31st and merriment, excluding the Fourmile fire,  has resulted ever since:
 - Franti at Red Rocks
 - Folks Festival
 - Pagosa Folk Festival (the Dusters and Sammy were SICK!)
 - Two night run of Drew Emmitt at the Nomad Theatre - ridiculous!

Thanks to all the support in getting us out here. As Yonder says "life is better there".

So much music to see but circle October 9th, at the Fox, for Cornmeal.

Peace  Wave,

BB

Nice job, Billy.  It only took you 6 page's worth of forum postings to make it!
