Jumpin on stage with Sharon Jones.  I don't care how shameless I am right now, it was competely awesome.

Monkeygirl, you're right on about her show, but what moved me was that big sloppy smooch I got from her.

Rushad's 'Paranoidness and Pain' was pretty badass too.

While I love the stage music - all of it - the best memories this year. as every year, are all that goes on Prefest in Town Park. It is a community of people who really know how to be with each other in so many varied and wonderful ways - friendship, food, and lots of music (which WE play). The stage acts are the icing but the cake but what really brings us back every year is the community and that is best in the prefest period from the birthday party through the goddess walk, the catfish and oysters, the potluck and fashion show, the songwriters circle, the slideshow and just plain getting to be with all of my once-a-year family.

My funniest memory was the late-late-late-comedy hour with two DukTape Kamp boys in the tarp line. They kept many of us entertained and warm with laughter. A sound sleep was lost by many that evening… (except for Mark.) But it was well worth it.  LOL

I am still sorting through my favorite memory(ies)…   :)

I was getting ready for work this morning and remembered a precious moment from T'ride '07.

It happened in the bathhouse one morning as a mother was trying to comfort her screaming child. She began to sing Itsy Bitsy Spider and slowly but surely Courtney and I sung along with Mom and the child stopped crying, until we stopped singing... so we started singing the little tune over and over again.

The lesson here.... the acoustics are best in the Ladies bathhouse in Town Park.  Thumbs Up Right Courtney!

Hello all:  New to the board, but thought I would share this.

Slip this on Youtube.  I don't know who took this, but witnessing this firsthand for my first time was one of my favorite memories.  Watching the video just got me smiling again.

a video 24 hours earlier would have shown me spread eagle in front of their tarp trying to hold a spot, and wondering why my girlfriend let our friends take my tarp to their campsite the night before. LOL  Rolleyes
