I love the addition of the new venue. This way, established artists like RRE and Emmit-Nershi get to play, and so do the up and comers like TBT and Cornmeal. Well done, PB!!!

How large is The Palm compared to the Sheridan?  Does it have ample standing room, or is it a theater with lots of sitting and very little standing?

With this year's lineup, I have some decision making to do.

What times are the shows?  Need to decide if I even want to get in the lottery with all of the other music.

Have a look at the complete NightGrass schedule at:
   http://www.bluegrass.com/telluride/nightgrass.html

 Wink

When I click on that link, or go to the planet bluegrass site, all I see is the old nightgrass info (where it's still advertising all-venue passes).  I can't find the schedule.  Is this happening to anyone else?

As always, we charge absolutely no service fees on any tickets.  So the $20-35 price is the final price you pay for each ticket.

Woot! thanks brian! no fees!!  Clap PB does indeed rule, and I agree that the extra venue and lineup is just ridiculously awesome this year! Think I picked a good one to lose my festivirginity Driving Cheers kiss :dance The palm sounds very cool

Nightgrass is so stacked tho; if we put all three bands down for one day, we could potentially get 2 venues and have to find a home for the extra tix... not likely, but possible, eh? Guess that would be a "problem" I'd be willing to risk LOL

I feel like king soloman here - and probably will have this decision up on a glenn beck chalkboard diagram before i can decide... but initially:

wed: yonder
ths: trampled
fri:head for the hills
sat: mumford
sun:PB

Just throwin that out there to the lotto gods...

That's still undecided, but it will likely be 4-6.

With this year's lineup, I have some decision making to do.

I believe it is about 3x the size of the Sheridan with over 650 seats (which I believe stay put), there might be some allocated GA area ... but I kinda doubt it.     So while you probably won't get to wander, people won't be packed in like sardines & you'll actually have room to boogie @ your seat.    While I believe Brian's characterization of the moon & soh as being "intimate" is accurate, the other side of that coin is that one's armpit is intimate too ... and both of those venues will be overheated & smelly vs. the Palm which will be more comfortable for those who like their space and such.   While it's hard to beat the soh for sound & proximity of band/audience, I have a feeling the shows at the Palm will be "dialed in" for sound very well & folks will be pleasantly surprised!

Ha, agree, the Sheridan will be packed and full of raging business but you will have room to move, as for the Fly me to the Moon, I think "shit show" for the likes of Cornmeal and STringdusters will be a better description then "intimate", but thats just my two cents. Evil

what's the capacity of the conference center?  will this yonder show be just as packed?

I'm really glad they opened a 3rd venue for nightgrass, especially since Trampled by Turtles will be playing in a bigger place so hopefully there's a better chance of getting tickets.  tough to miss cornmeal and railroad earth though.  but as long as i get to see yonder (hopefully at both shows, but once would do) and trampled latenight i'll be more than happy.

As long as you are able to try for Yonder Confrence Center right at onsale you will have no problem getting a ticket, but it will sellout the day of onsale, so it has the last coupel of year from what I can remember. If you don't score tickets inth elotto, it always seems that if you look in the right place or ticket karma is on your side, you will find a nightgrass ticket or two. Thumbs Up

I believe it's 600-800, but not exactly sure?   It can get tight in the actual concert hall, especially the front half of the room, but there are large/nice/open ventilated areas of immediately outside of that room which you can escape to for a breather if need be.   Hopefully, they keep the doors open ... because it can get hot in there.

So I was reading in previous forums that even if you have a ticket for nightgrass shows you are not guaranteed entry because they over sell the shows. Will this be the case this year? I just want to make sure if I buy a ticket I can definitely get in.
