Anyone in the T-Ride area have some recent photos? A couple of years ago someone posted pix of TP pre-fest that really got us stoked about our visit. We would love to see pix of the progress @ Baked in Telluride as well!

Town Park probably still has plenty of snow & is muddy where there it isn't, but I'll try for a BIT pic later today ... it's going to be close (whether they're open for the festival).  They have the finished roof on (minus the facia), windows, and a lot of the siding.  Haven't seen the inside, so not sure about status there, but the whole porch needs to be worked on & other detail work outside.

I sure hope they keep their avocado tacos. I lived off those one festival. 2 bucks apiece, filling and tastee.

"This just in: Baked in Telluride is BACK! I was told it would be up and running by TBF. That, combined with the line-up, will make this the best year EVER!!!"

hey llg, are you the one and only from .org?

I'm pretty sure they had them before the fire (was it bean and avacado?).   My guess is that Jerry is a creature of habit and understands the community's need for an affordable place to eat out, but then again circumstance may have changed post fire.

Hey Face on Mars. We are the one. My wife also posts on occasion. Maybe this summer we'll bump into each other and share a chat and a brew or something  Cheers

What's the deal with Baked, anyways? Last year was my first fest, so I don't have any context on it. Why is so revered?

llg:  you and your wife share the same cyber handle ... that might prove interesting at times.  Yes, that would be cool to say hello ... I will be going all four days, so I'm sure there will be a chance to meet at some point.

GP:  baked was open early for breakfast, closed late for munchies, relatively cheap good food & snacks ... pizza, sandwhiches, etc.  Telluride lacks similar places, so it was missed.

It is/was also the oldest food establishment in the Town of Telluride. No matter the budget, everyone could eat at Baked In Telluride. Always skier, hippie, tourist and Festivarian friendly.  Thumbs Up The place is revered in a way, well.. just because it's always been there. It's tradition. Many a Festivarian has entered the place "during Bluegrass", as the locals put it, only to find themselves standing either in front of or behind their musical hero. Everybody loves BIT!

The name is a play on words: To Get Baked and To Bake. Hippie jargon.  Festivarian
