Help me be green

So I am thinking the keg is going to be the best option for our camp and its definitely a better green option. But I have questions to you who have brought them in the past, how have you kept them cold? I have buried them camping at the lake before but will that be an option in Mary E?

Ice during the day and Mother Nature will take care of the evening cooling!

I don't know about Mary E.  In Town Park I used to toss 'em in the river, chained to the bank.   

Keep in mind, they'll get chilled every night naturally.  So all you need to do is insulate the bejeezus out of them during the day and toss a bag of ice in there with the insulation

If you place in a cooler, add some ice, cover with a towel and keep in shade. It's possible the ice may not even melt for several days...

In the vein of helping to be green,  What are some suggestions on how to cut down on trash, reuse, etc at camp or in the festival?

-Bring cooler items in tupperware instead of plastic  bags.  They can be washed and used to store food/things later on.  Plus they wont let the ice water leak in as easy.
-Nalgene for water inside
-bring your own utensils inside
-bring your own cup/utensils to Homebrew/Bloody/Potluck

I know others have better suggestions

Does anyone have a recommendation for a portable solar panel set-up? Preferrably one with a power inverter so you can plug in and charge cell phones, set-up lights etc.
