This is not a test, this is a broadcast from the Planet Bluegrass ticketing office.

I wanted to let you know that we don't expect 4-day passes to last through the week. EEK!

We still have plenty of single day tickets, but the 4-day pass is nearly gone.

If you, or someone you know, is planning to attend all 4 days and wants to take advantage of the 4-day discount the time to act is NOW!

Seriously...go buy your tickets now. They will likely not make it to the weekend.

Wave everyone.

Thanks for the heads up... I guess I'll have to tell a few of my friends that they'd better decide quickly.

This was really quick, right? There's a thick wall of smoke and beer between 03/10 and now, but I don't remember either Ilium or festival tickets selling out nearly this fast last year.

Anyways, in for one + lawson. Now the quest for Ilium or TP really begins...

Thanks for the warning Dustin!

I just picked up a 4-day pass at the Music Store in Telluride & was told that you all are possibly seeking to reclaim some of that allotment.

PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS!!!!

Or, at least give it some time ... I think a lot of locals have been used to not having to worry about getting passes for the past few years, so this might catch many by surprise who still think they have time & aren't on these boards 24x7.

I've just emailed KOTO to look into this (as well as to the possibility that you might be looking to reclaim part of the "locals allotment") ... and make an announcement.  Please urge KOTO to make such an announcement -- and maybe give them a deadline -- before pulling tickets you had originally allocated to locals.

Not looking to go on a rant, just give locals an opportunity to "join the party" which many may have taken for granted!

I'm thinking this explains a lot of it. http://www.bluegrass.com/telluride/lineup.html

Good question ... especially given that the economy is still in the gutter.  The lineup is excellent, but it's not light years better than anything I've seen over 10 years.  I'd be interested to know if there are less 4-days and more singles?

In any case, just received an email back from KOTO & apparently they can't make such an announcement given that TBF is for-profit and KOTO has rules it has to play by.

Still would like to see the locals tix stay local ... at least give it some more time.

Hey Pickin, I'm in the same boat. This is our first year - how would I go about finding TP tix? just find them on the ticket board and then sell my Lawsons later on? What's the story with Lawson anyway? I kinda thought it might be more of a party then Ilium, those were still available when I bought  Bag

I feel dirty posting this link, but maybe karma will come back around and smack me in the face. http://shop.bluegrass.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=93 is where you can find returned tickets every Tuesday at 12:00 Mountain Time. That's where I'm mostly hoping to land TP / Ilium tickets from. If not from there, just hoping a random post trickles onto my screen. I'll probably post a wanted thread in the tickets as we get closer.

From what I understand, Lawson is really just a baseball field you can set up tents on. It's closer to town, so that's a big plus - I wasn't a big fan of the shuttle from Ilium last year, though they certainly do a great job for what they have to work with (hundreds of festivarians and a 7 mile trek). I don't think it's quite as much a late night scene as Ilium, and Ilium is much more of a camping environment, which is why I'd like to get Ilium tickets if I can't get into TP.

Didn't realize Mary E. is sold out ...  maybe people have opted to spend some $ on having fun & recharging their batteries vs. dwelling on all the negative stuff going down in the world!

It's a also good sign that people are into (good) live music vs. the whole dj scene ... it was getting to be kind depressing to see that Pretty Lights could sell out Red Rocks while many a long time accomplished musicians are struggling.

4-day passes are now gone but we do still have single day tix for each day - though those too are selling very quickly.

Already posted something on the ticket swap forum, but does anyone have suggestions on what to do now that I just missed out on the 4 day passes? I'm a 2nd year med student, and I purposefully chose to take Step 1 boards (biggest test of my life) on the day before I fly out for my 2nd annual festival. Meant to get tix, but just drug my feet for a few days too long. Should I go ahead and buy 4 day passes, or will I have luck finding a 4 day pass? Last year I got my 4 day pass from craigslist on the way out to Telluride, but I really don't want to be kept out of this thing after tasting the sweet nectar that is the Telluride Bluegrass Festival!

P.S. sorry for freaking out a little here
