We're announcing the complete 2011 single-day lineup tomorrow morning (along with single-day tickets). Here's our final artist announcement...

Darrell Scott & Friends Father's Day Gospel Hour

Darrell Scott is something special.  One of the greatest singers.  One of the greatest instrumentalists.  One of the greatest songwriters.  One of the warmest human beings.

He is also a very busy guy - now touring the world as a member of Robert Plant's Band of Joy.  So when we first approached him about a gospel set, he politely declined.  Fair enough.

But he thought about it, we thought about it, the winter days got longer, and the Telluride Sunday morning sunshine crept just high enough in the sky for all of us to simultaneously realize that this year's gathering of Festivarian Nation needed to bask in the gospel of Darrell Scott.

We don't yet know which musical friends will be stopping by to play some tunes on Sunday morning. And frankly, we don't want to know until they walk onstage.  But it's safe to say you really don't want to be anywhere else this Sunday morning.  Trust us.

A little solo Darrell inspiration:

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! When I read this, I literally jumped out of my chair and yelled out in joy!!!!!!!!! Since it's a father day deal, I wonder if he might bring out Mr. Wayne Scott for a few songs? Either way, I get my Darrell Scott fix. I couldn't be happier right now!!!! The man is my all time favorite song writer and in a three way race for my favorite all time musician (with Sam Bush and Frank Zappa). Thank you PB and Darrell!!!! Cheers
