Hello ~

This is my first time going to Telluride and volunteering.  Who else is volunteering, and does anyone have tips for me?  I want to camp with other folks and don't know the best spots.

Try to work the gate at Warner Field. Best sound all around, unless you work backstage! Have Fun!

Town Park has the most people, has the most elaborate camps, most picking, and is one of the closest to the festival grounds. If that sounds good to you advertise for a ticket on the Ticket Exchange board.

........And ask for Billy when you get there. Take a good look at him and then make sure you never make eye contact with him again!  Wink

Warner Field is another excellent option. Those with Warner tickets are allowed access to Town Park for the picking circles and what not. If you can't find tickets for either of them, Mary E would be your best bet.

Volunteering was a blast...did it in 2003.  Definitely work backstage if you can.  I got to meet Vince Gill, Michael Kang and Allison Krauss--super fun.  That being said, I have rented a condo/house the last two years so I am unfamiliar with the camping situation as of late.

You are more than welcome to hang with my crew--we have a friggin blast.  A mechanical engineer, IT professional, and me the Funeral Director or I mean Fundirector!!!  Our house is right next to Town Park.  Facebook me--Matty Boyle.  Party time!!

Why do I keep getting singled out as the bad guy and/or friendly guy and/or the source of all things bacon and boozy????  Let's make fun of Billy Beru for a while since there are at least 13 things wrong with him that makes him an easy target.

Can't spell "funeral" without f-u-n!  At least that's what I told my mother a long time ago after she chided me for being too jovial at my grandfather's funeral.

I think you're being singled out as the guy that makes the most of having fun, taking that fun to the edge but never jumping off the cliff and for Pete's sake Hooch, they're sending festi-virgins your way... AGAIN!!! If that's wrong we don't want to be right!

Seeing the positive in this situation yet?  :)
