Pandora just introduced me to this fantastic songwriter named Gregory Alan Isakov (who is apparently no stranger to Telluride as his bio would tell it - a past Troubador winner, etc).  His song, "The Stable Song", recalls Springsteen's Nebraska album; that particular song recalls the traditional structure of Springsteen's "The Wrestler" as well, with a bit more of a bluegrass vibe.

Anyway. I'm looking forward to exploring his tunes!

Just goes to show that there's a lot of good music out there that we've never heard, and that the Planet's got a hell of an ear. :-)

Absolutely amazing musician!!

If any of you live in the CO/Denver area, you should go see him, Dr.Dog, and many others at the Pearl Street Music Festival in Boulder in May. Travis does wonderful stuff for music, and I can't wait to support this grand affair of talented musicians and kind friends.

check it out, if you like.
