Friday the 25th marks the 84th birthday of Dr. Ralph Stanley Cake 

It’s quite an honor that the original Clinch Mountain Boy will be playing in western NC on his birthday (The Old Rock School in Valdese), and he’s taken a few minutes to speak with WNCW’s Dennis Jones about the various projects he’s working on lately.

Nice - I give exams today so I'll get out early enough to listen! Score!

On a side note, I had a strange dream two nights ago in which I was having a philosophical conversation with Dr. Stanley. I felt very enlightened. Now, if I could only remember what we were talking about ... !
