I've been imagining this voice echoing the canyon for basically decades

But, this quote makes me think it's someone that hasnt played before

Yeah, but Rhonda Vincent?

Oh well..............

Also, RV has played TBF 99 and 02, which doesn't fit the "hasn't played before" bill.

im going for a long shot, but Norah Jones has recently released a new album...
a compilation called 'Featuring' with guests like Willie Nelson, Gillian Welch, David Rawlings, and Dolly Parton among many others...
and with no tour dates scheduled yet for this year, she's certainy doesn't seem too busy...

Not sure if all those "guests" would be there.... but.... Dolly doesn't have anything until July.
Just sayin'. Wink

I think Ferg said "not country".

While Dolly is many, many things (and transcends many, many more), I'd find it hard to argue that she's "not country." :-)

With all due respect to her talent, which I admire, the word 'diva" is applied to the woman more times than not around here.

That being said, I can't wait to hear the announcement, regardless of the artist!   Thumbs Up:

She CAN BE country, but have you heard her do Bluegrass? Man she can swing same as Johnny Cash.
