Would anyone be interested in having a formal night? Before I get too many smites, let me explain. I'm not talking about a traditional formal event with suits, ties & expensive gowns, more like a "Hippie Prom."

My thoughts are ladies in tie-dye dresses embellished with multi-color sequins and gentlemen in tuxedo t-shirts and linen pants.... or whatever your interpretation of hippie formal-wear might be.

Might be fun?!

I'm in if I can put the multi-color sequins on my linen pants to accent my tuxedo shirt.  I have to feel that any retro, polyester tuxedos would be appropriate as well.  I think this is a great idea, and I offer up my cooking skills for a prom dinner for all attendees.  I am thinking something containing plenty o' BACON.

Hey  Wave,

It's a Town Park event that happens Monday or Tuesday (I think) before TBF starts that Thursday.

Sweet! More virgins. Well, before any other TP activities can be enjoyed, you must first attend the Town Park virgin sacrifice. Only then do we disclose the other activities!  Evil Evil Evil

Could there be anything better than eating a roasted pig wrapped in bacon on top of a hand breaded and fried iowa tenderloin while wearing (or dancing with a guy in) a bacon tuxedo!!!

FUN! I didn't know about the NYE party. What's the Dome?

Sorry -- first Town Park this year...I'm such a virgin.   Flower

the Dome is a geodesic dome that some folks from the NW built last year. It was the first time for them to do this, and it was on Sunday night. They had a NYE party complete with a champagne toast at midnight.  I don't remember if they had live music or not, but it was packed.  After that I would look in each night and it was just some folks sitting around a heater, so I said they needed to have some pickers in each night to fill up that big space, it was just too nice to only use once! They asked how would they go about getting that done, so I told them to just advertise that the Dome was available for late-night picking.  They put a sign up the next day, and Voila! Pickers and grinners every night after. So now you know more than you ever wanted.

I sure hope they come back!
