do you think the jerry douglas band will play?  or some form of mr jerry solo besides just with the house band?  i hope so!!!    Fiddle

I can almost guarantee we'll get more Jerry than just The House Band. Even if he doesn't get his own set, he'll be out playing with probably a third of the acts. That's how Jerry rolls.

Nice pun.

Anyway, here's a video (my g/f's favorite) of Michael Cleveland.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7jDm__47Gw

Not sure who plays that song better, Stuart or Michael?

Can I assume that Michael Cleveland will be a Thursday set since he's playing in New York that Saturday?

This is getting me very excited! Shaping up to be the besdt lineup I've seen yet.

Although I must admit my anxiety about the absence of Jerry Douglas's name on the intital lineup. I am sure that he will appear soon enough, hopefully bringing both his band and AK+US.

If Sammy is the King of Telluride, then Jerry Douglas is his Duke of Dobro

All we need now is Greensky Bluegrass, Steve Martin, Dave Rawlings Machine, and a special reunion of MaGraw Gap.....

and I am in Heaven! :)

Jerry's listed as a member of the House Band, though! :-)

Maybe Jerry could get J.COW for duets in 2011!!!?   PULEEEEEZ? Find a gap in your D.Bros schedule for some 8745' fesitivaaaaation in 2011!  Hey, bring them along! Thumbs Up (that'd be awesome!)

You can live with us Hope.  For most of the month we have this nice little canvas cottage, conveniently located near the festival grounds.   Maybe you've seen it?    Evil Thumbs Up

Oh, thank you, and tell Tessa and the kids the same, but I think the 'ole Hippo Campus Homestead is going to be in full swing this coming summer! Did ya hear??? Uncle Howard will be visiting for the first time in a long time and we have a flock of turtles taking the railroad to join us.

Now, if those Jailhouse Boys will let us borrow their oven y'all could bring over some cornmeal and we'll get to dustin' ya off a spot and cook up some cornbread, but watch out for those bootleggers on the way, 'cause ya know they're always looking out for more corn. It's always a great day when your youngin's plant some joy in meyer day and I love that you and Tessa are raisin' them to be our TBF flamekeepers of the future.

Now, I know some of our younger folks are kind of decemberists, lovin' that snow sports and all, but we really need more of our youth to get a summer bluegrass punch in the arm so they don't fleck out on us. I know these two young men, Emmitt & Nershi, they started their own little house band and got the boat rowan with these other guys and let me tell you, Father O'Brien & Deacon Burke is a blessin' them now! They really did turn out my-tee-fine!

The point is, my happy tye-dyed friend, your Auntie Hope is starting to silver hair out like like T-Tom's beloved EmmyLou and really is only good to wander over yonder and string those youngin's along for short stints at a time. Still love ya for the invite though!  kiss

Can't wait to hear little Jo yell FESTIVVVAAALLL!!! Pinch 'em for me!
