Greetings Festivarians!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully yer all unpacked and ready to start packing up again.

We do have some Telluride news; but, first I thought I'd give you all a little update as to what's been going on around here.  Its been lonely. Not only are you guys all gone and thinking about other things; but, listen to what I've had to endure....

First, Shauna goes on what I can only pray will be her last honeymoon, three weeks in Thailand.  She left me with a little box of petty cash and a stack of checks. I'm guessing by the look on her face as I saw her trying to make sense of my scribbles and the missing stack of checks that she's going to work extra hard on her marriage.

Add to that, Brian has been hard to find around here cuz he's all in love with his son Birch, I'm hardly getting any baby stories. About all I know is that Birch is starting to eat some solid food and Brian has got quite handy changing diapers.  Also, Birch is soothed by Brian's clawhammer banjo playing.  But, Brian is now back in the trenches and we are all enjoying his fatherly transformation, you know, his nervousness over Birch's temperature and when he's moving from rice to carrots.  Fear not, though, apparently in the middle of the night while he's rocking Birch to sleep, Brian is still finding time to keep up to speed with all the great music out there.

And, I'm not done yet!  Steve decides while everyone else is gone that its a great time to head off to Amsterdam with his wife Carli.  First time Steve's been gone for three weeks in twenty years!

And Cindy, Dustin and Jasmine have all been noticeably absent.  I think its mostly because they have these things called "lives" outside of Planet Bluegrass.  Chad's been around, but he hasn't really been talking to me either. Work, work, work. He's sure getting lots done, you guys will like our new entrance.

Fortunately Julie pops in once in awhile to cheer me up!

Guess I'm starting to worry that everyone is staying away from me cuz I get kinda grumpy this time of year?????

Well, I'm not that grumpy today. A little sad, maybe.  It's Early's 15th Birthday.   So, yea, that's a little sad.
I'm also a bit frightened. Picking up Early from school today to take her to get her driver's permit. Dear Lord. If I summon the requisite courage, she'll be driving me home. Pray for me.

Well, I'm happy to report that we're all back to work and buckling down, ready for another great festival season...

so......

scroll for it.....

remember this part?

:)

I'm guessing maybe you guys might like to hear our first official announcement for the year, right?

Oops... gotta go get Early from school, let me get back to you tonite on that.......

Hey, I'm patient..., It's not like I have anything to do tonight except eat, drink and be merry....,
and the last time I danced in the Folks Fest forum, I seemed to have shaken the tree, so please be careful Ferg, somebody might break their computer...,  so, I wonder if Sam bush will be in Telluride next year????!!!, Peter Rowan, Bela Fleck, and the others I seem to think of as regulars?  Mr. Cowan?  And who will be new?

With a tease like that, I'm willing to be very patient... It can only mean that it's gonna blow our socks off....

I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.
