Hi all-
We're in a predicament -- we're looking for a spot to sleep 8-10 people for the 2011 TBF; ideally something with four bedrooms. We've had no problems grabbing a condo after the new year in year's past, but right now we're looking and it appears that VERY little is available for the festival dates already.

Are condos just booking up a lot faster?

We're very discouraged by this right now ...

Any suggestions?  We'd rather stay in town (not in Mtn. Village).

Wave Hey! Yes the Condos in town are booked up fast. I know when I check in I book for the next year to lockin my condo. Every year I have the same one.

However, a few months before Fest there is a flood of cancellations for condos and locals will post houses and rooms for rent.

Keep a watch on the Forum as we get closer to Fest and I am sure you will snag a condo or house. Flower

Can we leave yet?

After some deeper searching I found a rad house on the east end of town for a reasonable price (considering the number of us!) and only a couple blocks from TP. Yeah!

Thanks for the info, though! Since we go every other year it's not possible to lock-in the following year, but that's a great idea if we decide to become that regular!

VRBO.com is a great place to find huge houses for rent.  Nice that you already found one. I know last year someone had to cancel at the last minute on a huge condo in Mtn. Village, and was trying to rent it out at about 1/2 what it cost just so he wouldn't lose the whole investment.  So they do pop up, and often people don't think much about it until after the first of the year, then they start deciding if they are going to rent out their house or not.
