Every year we have this thread (remember when we used to have it via email?).  Every year I ask Tessa who she wants, and she always says, "Oh, whoever Craig books will be awesome...it's all good".

This year, for the first time, she had a very adamant request:

 Sunshine  Bring back SPEARHEAD!    Concert

I have to admit, they NAILED it last time!

I suggested Cheech and Chong a few months ago...They were on thier "Make Legal Tour".  It would be so much fun to have them. Thumbs Up

Wave A couple of bands on my radar right now:

Joy Kills Sorrow
The Beeeaters
Deadwood Revival
The Dixie Bee Liners

and... I just heard the Carolina Chocolate drops do some gospel a couple of weeks ago and would like to hear more!

How about Sunday morning with The Carolina Chocolate drops and John Cowan?

I'm thinking today a little Mike Farris on Sunday morning might just be crazy wonderful. I always want to see Hot Rize on that stage again (does that go without saying?) but I'm also loving the calls for Leon Russell and Michael Franti with Spearhead.

I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.

I forgot two of my unsung favorites... husband and wife, and lovely Virginianites, they are:

Paul Curreri and Devon Sproule

Together, perferrably.

I've been thinking about this a lot, so I'm just going to throw it out there; I think Matisyahu would make for an excellent curve-ball. He'd be great for a Saturday night closing set.

If I remember correctly, he doesn't play Saturdays... religious reasons.  :)

I do believe you are right. Well, I hesitate to say Friday night because I'm hoping for LoS to continue in that spot, but I'd be down for a Thursday night closing set.

It'd be pretty pricey, but if we're talking Leon Russell, why not bring Sir Elton John with him?
