DocMike, you are leaving Iowa? My congrats on that!

I have been thinking about this "Where have you lived?" thing. I think  I have tried to very hard to live wherever I am but... lately it seems that my life is mostly in Colorado.. and the commute is starting to be a killer! but. . .

I hesitate to do this, but here goes:

Topeka, Kansas – 0-1
Sacramento, California 1-3
San Fernando Valley, California 3-4
Sunset, Utah 4-6
Ames, Iowa 6-7
(commune outside of) Mason City, Iowa  7 – 12
Provo, Utah 12 – 13 *
Salem (stints in Eugene/Cottage Grove, when I was bad), Oregon 13 – 17
SL Valley (SLC Metro, Sugarhouse, Sandy, Murray, Sugarhouse), Utah 17 – 30
Tallahassee, Florida 30 – 31
SL Valley (Sandy, SLC Metro, Murray, Holladay, Sugarhouse), Utah 30 – 46.5
Portland, Oregon or Telluride, Colorado – 46.6 - ????

* This was not a year and I know that was a requirement.  However, I have to point out that I went from spending almost 5 years in a commune, doing TM, practicing yoga, learning how to one-hand roll, to living in student family housing at BYU in Provo, Utah.  Do you want to talk about CULTURE SHOCK?!

What I find strange about myself (hush! don't even THINK it!) is that even with all the places I've lived, I still call Oregon home; when asked where I grew up, I say Oregon.  Perhaps the "growing up" wasn't in the physical sense...

I knew I'd catch it for that statement, Princess LuAnna.  Something like, "Umm... er... Rhonny?  Grew up?  I think not!", but I just meant that I learned a lot during those years.  I learned that I can be a complete ass if I don't keep myself in check... for instance! (almost innately so!)  Evil
