Don't think so... same wonderful guy(s) as ever!

Any particular show(s) that caught your ear?

I think I read that they redid the sound system, though.

Wave Because I was there for 99.9% of the sets, I will have to say that I did notice a few things that I thought was unusual for PBG sound....and only because you all here on this forum have tought me soooo well.

Mics,,,, their are some that only capture the sound directly in front of them.... and then, their are mics that capture sound 360.... seems to me the lead(?lingo) or center mic was not correct and the lead vocals would drift in and out....im sorry don't hate me.....i notice everything.... Rolleyes

I thought I heard a few hiccups but attributed it to the high winds we had.  I'm sure that's a real bitch for the sound guys to handle when most instruments are mic'd and not plugged into a pickup.  Nothin' like the sound of amplified wind.

Always amazed at how beautiful the sound is captured in that valley, never an echo. Must be a challenge at times. I notice too much, I think I have splinters under my chin from me leanin on the stage in awe LOL Flower

There were mics on stage facing the audience, you may have heard them in the mix as audience filler.  When you hear the mix drifting, it is most likely due to to wind.  Soundwaves can be pushed around a bit, and they may phase shift, that is possibly what you're referring to.  Nothing can stop it entirely, but the FOH crew works the sound quite tight. Barometric pressure, wind, temp, and humidity are all monitored closely, and the audio is adjusted accordingly to bring you the finest, most consistent reproduction no matter where in the venue you are sitting.

Tom, Mark, and Earl are the best at what they do, and we're lucky to have them.  Thanks to The Planet for bringing in the goods.
