Festivarians...I had an amazing time at TBF this year!  Next year I'd love to have the hotel/inn experience (naps and showers daily). :O)

Any recommends on great places to stay..in the moderate price range...?

I, too, will be opting for a hotel next year.  I realized by Friday afternoon that I am too old to go without a personal shower, air conditioner, and toilet.  Ilium is a gorgeous camp and Mo and her gang do a stellar job of running it during Festival, but by Friday the charm was wearing thin for yours truly.

I talked with a family who were staying in Mountain Village and they said the hotel cost was about half what it was in Telluride ($199/night as opposed to $400/night in Telluride).  Not bad considering the gondola ride is easy and free.

I'll gladly be saving my pennies until next year to pay for the hotel room.

I love Festival!!!!!!!!!  Thanks, Planet Bluegrass, for another wonderful four days of memories and great music.

Does the gondola run 24/7? That is the other issue with Illium..I had to run from the night grass show to catch the bus back to the campsite. No after party for me.

.. I recommend the Mountain Village Lodge .. 5 minute walk to the Gondala, reasonable rates (from agent I use).  He has 3 or 4 properties there.  Message me for contact info if interested.

Yep. I stayed in a privately owned condo at Mountain Lodge in Mtn Village too. <5 min walk to gondola. Gondola ride was about 25 min and then 4 blocks to Town Park. Was great- shower and a bed each night. Rented a 3 br 3 bath for $275 night. Go on VRBO(vacation rental by owner) and you can find lotsa deals. We got ours in December- loved it. They even came by and picked up our recylcing.
