Where can I buy low-back chairs suitable for the festival next week? How much should I expect to pay? Any brands you  would suggest? Avoid?

Thanks Folks,
Chad

You can get them at REI or Cabelas and probably Bass Pro.  I've seen them at Walmart sometimes too.  The price can be $20 - $50ish depending on how fancy.

I am a huge fan of crazy creek chairs, personally. They don't take up a lot of room and are quite comfy. http://www.crazycreek.com/

I just bought one at Target - aluminum tubing, plastic armrests, cupholder, stash pocket on back, and straps to carry like a backpack. 6#, $30.

Can we leave yet....!!?

Do these chairs meet the maximum height requirement (can't roll a basketball under them)?  Approximately no higher than 9.3 - 9.5 inches off the ground ....

We recently bought REI Camp Chairs (when sitting in them the height from ground to seat is just under 9.5" (http://www.rei.com/product/765268?preferredSku=7652680047&cm_mmc=cse_froogle-_-datafeed-_-product-_-7652680047&mr:trackingCode=9AE179F5-2F1B-DF11-9B13-0019B9C043EB&mr:referralID=NA) - will these allow us the opportunity to sit close, or will we be banished to the way back ... EEK!

Let me tell you, this chair is AWESOME:

http://www.rei.com/product/783556

Without a doubt, the most comfortable low-back chair around.  Adjustable.  Cool.  Dries quickly after a rain.  Turns into a little backpack for carrying.

Perfect-o!

The ones I have sit right on the ground. You couldn't roll a ping pong ball under them.

We found some nice chairs with the back pocket and they recline. They also come with backpack straps for ease of carrying. I think they are about 4" off the ground.
Gratefulgrass, depending on if you use a regulation Womens Basketball 9" or the Men's Basketball 10". The picture makes them look tall. We have chairs for the camp and also our festi-chairs for inside.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Beth .... I know I may be stretching the cutoff at 9.5", but it makes it a little bit easier to get out of the chair to move to the music or mingle among friends.  Thanks a great idea - having 2 sets of chairs.  I'm still trying to find the perfect fit for comfort (including beverage holders) and transportability (we'll be flying from the East Coast).  Whatever we settle on, it'll be what it'll be, and in the end, we'll be among kindred spirits no matter where we end up  Cheers
