Am I the only one who while in the middle of work all of a sudden I find myself daydreaming that I am walking down the path in town park…. or standing in  line at the country store listening to bluegrass… or sitting on a tarp facing the Town Park stage with a big smile…. then BAM I am back at work again and someone is asking me work questions!
These last few days of pre-festi work are just unbearable.

Every day my nine year old asks me five times how many days until we leave. Each time I count out the days with him. Now it's down to foooooooouuuuurrrrrrrr!

3 days and counting to departure.

To quote the great Joebu, "Productivity lever set to "bacon."

I haven't thought about anything but FESTIVAL for the past 3 weeks and I know when I return to reality, I'll think of nothing but FESTIVAL for 3 more weeks.

So no my friend, you are not alone!

Oh I'm being plenty productive at work!!  Currently I have Microsoft Word open....with festival stuff on it, Excel open....with festival stuff on it, AutoCAD open....with festival stuff on it, and Internet Explorer open....with festival stuff on it.  If one of my festi-friends would just email me at my work address then I'd be 5 for 5!!!

This morning on the way in I was running thru my play by play for one week from today..

7am Drop off puppy at the sitter.....

Do I come back home, or do I leave straight from there?
Do I take 70 or 285?
Do I stop for Starbucks or get out of dodge?
What will I have queued up on the Ipod for the trip?

Sam has his kindergarten teachers almost as giddy with excitment as we are since beginning his countdown last week. His teacher told me yesterday when I picked him up that he was too excited to even play during recess but instead stood near her telling her everything she could possibly want to know about this little bit of wonderful we are about to embark on once again. It makes me so happy that he loves this all as much as we do.

I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music.
