Temps are forecasted to drop this weekend with possible R&S.  Does the area get muddy, flooded etc.?

Also tell your best weather story from years past.

Ha!  1994 was cold and snowy.  Many people were in their ski clothes! I was wishing I'd have had mine.  Spent a lot of that year huddled under blankets in my friend's VW bus; only came out to see a few favorites on a couple of days.  But it was all good.  Always is; always an adventure.

I've been waiting for the traditional "panic about the weather" thread to start and I guess this is it!  Holy crap....it might rain!!!!  We are all going to die!!  Someone call the Red Power Ranger!  No worries, folks.  It's not the rain that will kill you...directly.  It's the hypothermia, lightning, trees blowing over, and badger attacks that will likely do you in.

But, with that said, I highly suggest that you verify that your tent is waterproof, that you stake your tent down very well, and that your rain flies are pulled out and away from the bottom edge of your tent.  A dry house is very important.  Also bring extra shoes, a good rain poncho, and a sense of adventure when going to the porta pot while wearing the poncho.  And, above all else, remember the key phrase:  If you don't like the weather in Colorado, just wait 10 minutes.

Erndog gave me a shamwow at RG last year and that really helped me get the water out of the corners of my tent after some good rains.  Our tents were practically on top of each other, but hey, it's all good.
As long as Hooch's bacon stays dry in the cooler, life will be great. Thumbs Up

Us native Minnesotans have nothing to worry about weather-wise.  We can hack it....and if it gets too nasty we can all just get together and complain about the NFC Championship game's.  Argh

it's not the rain that's a problem it's the rain followed 5 minutes later by 85 degree heat , followed by the snow and or hail that falls a few minutes after that! but it's all good, the pseudo snowball fight last year or the year before was kind of fun. Thumbs Up Driving
