Greetings Festivarians!   Wave

We’re less than 3 weeks away from FESTIVAL!  I don’t know about all of you, but I’m getting STOKED.

So I thought I’d share a little YouTube playlist I put together to familiarize, get stoked about the artists playing on Thursday at this years fest.

To watch/listen follow the link below and click “Play All Videos”.  Thumbs Up
They are in order of appearance (with a traditional opener from Yonder Mountain EEK! my personal favorite of the bunch), but you can click Shuffle to mix it up.
http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=29CF3C7186C2710C

I did the best I could to find videos with good audio, which was difficult for some artists.  I would love to see your contributions, and will add/delete videos from the playlist as requested.  I hope you enjoy!

Myself I like to put the headphones on, hit play and minimize the window while I’m at the office.  That is the equivalent to setting the office productivity lever to “Bacon”!  Cheers

Anywho, here is the (current) tracklist

YMSB - No Expectations (With Sam Bush from TBF 2008)
Sarah Jarosz - Song Up In Her Head
Sarah Jarosz - w/ Sam Grisman, Alex Hargreaves “Grandma’s Hands”

Josh Ritter – Girl on the War (Letterman)
Josh Ritter – Temptation of Adam (solo)
Josh Ritter – Wolves
Dave Rawlings - Ruby
Dave Rawlings – To Be Young
Dave Rawlings – The Weight

Del McCoury – Rocky Road Blues
Del McCoury – 1952 Vincent Black Lightning
Del McCoury - Beauty Of My Dreams
Del McCoury  - Uncle Pen (w/ Phish…..shameless Telluride Phish show plug)
Alison Krauss - My Poor Old Heart

Alison Krauss - Choctaw Hayride
Alison Krauss - That’s All (Genesis)
Tim O’Brien - When the Man Comes Around

"WOW love yer out fit cowboy!!!!"

In the interests of full disclosure

<<<<< that is not me, it's just my visual interpretation of how I feel on the inside.   LOL

"I didn't even know this kind of stream was possible!"

Either did I, until about 2 hours ago, it's suprisingly easy if you have a UTube account.  Under each video you like, you can just click "Save to", Playlist.  Then you can edit the order etc.  I'm still working on the Fri-Sunday ones.

Don't forgot to link your favorite videos!

Hey everybody. Wave

Since this is the second youtube thread that has appeared this year, I thought i should chime in and let everyone know where we stand on this issue.

As you know, or if you don't, all Planet Bluegrass festivals do not allow video taping. That said, with the recent explosion of cell phone, and camera video capabilities, obviously there are going to be some out there.

Our policy is that you cannot bring actual video cameras into the events. No HD cameras, no old timey VHS cameras, etc...

As far as posting youtube videos that you may have, or see, we will not allow posted video's from the festival of bands that explicitly do not allow taping of their performances.

That said, it looks as if the videos for "questionable" artists, in terms of their approving of unsolicited video, contained in this thread (link) are mostly, if not entirely, of other performances.

SO, enjoy the fantastic grouping of incredible artists put together and shared here. Just be aware that videos from TBF, while a great way to relive moments at the festival, may be subject to some censorship on this forum. It's really to keep us, and you, out of trouble and to ensure that artists are comfortable giving us the special performances they do every time they take the stage with us in the box canyon on the Solstice.

See you all very soon.

Cheers

Dustin, I was unaware of your policy, but in the list the only TBF performance is the Yonder Mountain Song w/ Sam Bush.  I will gladly remove that from the list if requested, even though it is my favorite, rather than remove the post altogather.

The rest of the Videos are all from "other", inferior Festivals/Performances.

Thanks!

No need to remove. That wasn't my intent. I'm pretty sure the Yonder boys don't mind...

I simply wanted to make sure that eveyone knew the TBF policy on videos, and also make aware that anything from Planet Bluegrass specific events is subject to be disallowed here on the forum.

Your collection is great. Good job.

Cheers

Serious awesomeness. Thanks! This will get me through the workday tomorrow.

Just saw Cadillac Sky on Saturday and going to YONDER tomorrow here in Cleveland! Then, Colorado-bound. Stoked doesn't do the feeling any justice.

Great link, JoeBu.  Spent Memorial Day Weekend in Cumberland MD at Delfest in training for TRide.  Caught Yonder and several variations during the festivities.  Can hardly contain my excitement - 30 years itching to get to The Festival, finally making the pilgrimage in less than a week.  Stoked ??? Very  Thumbs Up
