ok so  whats the deal w/ the late-night lottery?  this is the third year in a row they are doing it differently. will it be like last year...pick 2 shows and/or all acess or will it be new .. something strange about this late night line up this year. Im not too stoked like i have been in years past. and the question that will keep being asked ... why no fri night yonder (not like i'd ever get a ticket anyway, but still) ?

Great lineup in my opinion.  It is funny how folks can see it all differently.  (I for one couldn't be happier that RRE isn't playing.... althought that might lure some folks away form the good shows  hmm....)  We'll definitely be hoping for all access passes seeing as how there are multiple nights we'd want to see multiple shows.

Punchbrothers have been a GREAT show the past two years at the Sheridan.  For me is stacks up favorably with last years lineup.  Like most others though, i wonder if our curiosity about YMSB's friday absense will get answered.

Curious about the Keller show because of how its listed.  'Keller Williams with Keller and the Keels'.  Larry Keel is special, real special.  Lets hope he's all over the festival.

More all-access passes for the rest of us!  Cheers

Exactly...imo it's nice to shake up the traditional YMSB Opera slot,  and give others a crack at  Nightgrass venues...even though on paper the lineup appears weak for some, if i was a betting man, i'd bet there are gonna be stellar sets...analagous to the wake following Jerry's passing (for us Dead fans), you gotta embrace change, and keep a positive attitude, and it'll all work out in the end!

 :) Cheers :)

Does anyone know when you are notified if you got one of the all access passes in the lottery? Will it be before individual tickets go on sale?

Greetings Festivarians!  Been awhile.  :)

Wanted to chime in on the Yonder nightgrass issue.  I wouldn't read to much into it, pretty simple actually.

Band just wanted to change it up a bit and take a year off. No biggie.  Be glad for the Conference Center show!!!!!!

I know the Yonder/Opera House show has been pretty special; and, I'm pretty sure you can start counting on that for 2011.

I'll bet you'll see Yonder bopping around listening to Salmon that Friday nite.....

There's yer news and ya didn't even have to scroll for it!!!

We'll notify the All Venue lottery folks of your status on Monday so that everyone knows what they will need (or not need) to get on Wed.

Cheers

Personally, I am fan of Dierks and would be excited to see him at a small venue like the Sheridan....but now I am conflicted because I would also love to see Yonder.   Frown

I'm sure you all think me crazy, but I've found that some of the most enjoyable sets come from the bands you least expect...

Now I can only keep my fingers crossed for the all-venue pass so I can do some cross mountain stage hoping.   Thumbs Up

How likely is it to get individual tickets (to see Drew Emmitt and friends specifically)??

I plan on calling/getting online the minute they go on sale...

Thanks!  :)

Dustin, are all-venue access transferable? For example, let's say I get shut out but I have a friend who also enters and gets one, can't make TBF, and wants to give me his wristband - will that work?

Thanks - just want to play by the rules.

Billy- That would work. The person who technically won the All-Venue Pass (AVP) has the ability to change the name of the person who will pick it up. So, in your case, if your friend cannot make Telluride but had previously won an AVP, he could change the name on the list to yours and it would then be your pass.

Correct Dustin?

I really hope that isn't the case because there will be a TON of people who aren't even planning on going to TBF who will enter the lottery and either give them to friends or scalp them.  I really hope they make the person who actually wins and pays for the tickets pick them up!!

Da Virgin...you'll quickly learn that Telluride, for the most part, is our little secret. We don't have a big problem with scalpers, as long as you don't tell them about us. Wink

We've always allowed folks to transfer Will Call tickets, and the All Venue pass is no exception. Of course, if the trend changes to us seeing some abuse of the lottery/ scalping...we'll reevaluate.

Luckily for us, and you, that hasn't been a problem in the past. :hop
