Our family gratefully received town park tickets, but no vehicle pass, and camping x 5 nights is beyond what my partner is willing to accommodate.  But I really, really want to have a base nearby to escape the weather and crowds and have a place for meals and relaxed socialization while still able to hear the music (which is what everyone in town park is after).  Should I keep the tent site AND rent a condo for sleeping?  Or is there room inside the venue for a similar set up.

Well, I doubt you'll be able to cook in the venue although there's plenty of vendor food. You certainly won't be sleeping in the venue (unless you got too drunk or stayed up too late the night before Wink )
I have done both the Town Park campground and the condo, but it's so much more fun to stay in Town Park.
If you're willing to pay the BIG price for both to keep your sweetie happy, then by all means, go for it. Flower
Otherwise, sell your Town Park pass to a deserving veteran and go for the condo. Cheers

It is expensive at that however, if you only really get just one vacation, comfort, sleepin in, and just a few moments of quiet(what I require to be a happy camper) then I say whatever it takes to get er done.  Flower Make that woman happy!

We store all our gear in our tent at Warner(drinks/coolers/chairs,squirtguns,hats,sunscreen,nightgear,raingear), we sleep in a close by condo, shower, cook, hotub, etc.
We have a business and just do not get away as much as we would like. So we be jammin in a big way. RELAX and ENJOY. Anyway you wish just have fun. Medal

hi - i just posted a note yesterday about wanting someone to share a condo with.(see "Looking to share lodging for 2010 BG Fest" just 2 spots below your post). i know we don't know each other but i have done this in the past and have ended up staying friends with the folks i met as "blind roomies" and have shared a condo w/them the last 2 yrs. this yr it doesn't look like they are going to attend so i'm back to flying solo. i thought if you had someone to split the cost of a condo with it might make it possible for you to keep your Town Park camping spot as well. if you would consider it, i can get you references, send you piks, etc.  i've stayed at 3 different places that i booked thru T-Ride Mt. Side Lodging and the folks there could vouch for me. also, if we got a 1 bd rm, i am MORE than happy to crash on the couch or floor in the living rm and let you & your partner have the privacy of the bd rm. ANYWAY - this falls under the "can't hurt to ask" category, so there you have it. thank you for your consideration. have a great one! later....
