A couple more additions this week to the 2010 RockyGrass lineup:

The Horse Flies - Deeply skilled and reverent of old-time stringband music, the Horse Flies take this old-time mountain music to still unexplored mountain ranges.  Their 2005 late-night set on the Telluride stage remains one of our favorites:

After some incredible sets from some of the music's greatest legends - Doc Watson, Tony Rice, Jesse McReynolds & Bobby Osborne - a set of post-modern mountain music will be the perfect complement, and a chance to break out those special dancing shoes.

Frank Solivan & Dirty Kitchen - Multi-instrumentalist, Frank Solivan II is a former member of the Navy's Country Current band and a great picker and singer.  A long-time resident of Alaska, Frank mentored many of the state's young bluegrass bands (including Bearfoot).  There are some great youtubes of Frank jamming with Jesse Cobb of the Stringdusters.  Here's a great one of Frank and his band:

Stay tuned.  We've got more additions still to come...

Checking out the Horse Flies

1st thing I see on The Horse Flies WWW photos since I know nothing of them.

1. Accordion
2. Conga Drum
3. Electric Bass

Three of my favorite Bluegrass Instruments. Band

Man, The Horse Flies are going to "ROCK" your Bluegrass world! As I heard the story, tons of folks were leaving the field at TBF one year and all of the sudden the place was PACKED AGAIN! Amazing music!  Thumbs Up

Have Fun!

Just wondering if maybe some lineup announcements are on the Horizon? Looks like 22 bands are typical for the festival which leaves maybe 5 bands yet announced?
