I thought I'd start a new topic to talk about the individual acts scheduled for Rockygrass.

Why You ask? Well, I just heard Laura Love's version of Shady Grove from her new bluegrass album.  Thumbs Up. I am more excited that ever to her and her new bluegrass band this summer. I gotta go buy this CD!! Gotta hear more.

Anyone else have any more comments on the lineup. Such Why we should miss someone or listening recommendations, etc.

2001 Gov't Mule concert at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville....Marty Stewart walks on stage with a mandolin and I begin to chuckle to myself and joke with my friends...

...15 minutes later I'm standing in one place, mouth nearly to the floor, trying to deny the fact that the same guy who sang "Hillbilly Rock" was blowing my mind with a mandolin.

I had no idea he had the background in roots music that he does, and I still have yet to see him since that night.

I'm looking forward to his set, no question. Cheers

Marty Stuart on Mandolin. Seems like he was doing that with Flatt and Scruggs at age 16.
