Hi everyone! I am so excited for my first trip to Telluride as well as the festy. I am basically looking for a 2bedroom 2ba condo where we dont have to worry about takinig a gondola and ideally a short walk. Ive already done some research and there seems to be a lot of options within my price range $500 per nt, but what Im not sure of is the location to the festival. Any tips on how to know where these are? Some say on San Miguel near lift this or that type thing. Please help!
Thanks in advance!

Hi April! - Anywhere in town is a short walk-if the condo is described as west end, it would be closer to the entrance to town, and the east end would be closer to the Fest, but again a short walk from anywhere.  There's a nice riverwalk trail to the Fest if you're staying in a condo near a lift.  Check out the map under Telluride Bluegrass Info, for more detail, street addresses, ski lifts, etc.
You'll have a great time!! Fish

Im leaning towards this place http://www.skihills.com/r119/b944_boomerang_lodge.html
I spoke with this nice girl at the Telluride reservation center and she said it would be an easy walk. It looks like the most reasonable price place (all relative cuz its way expensive) but still would love any feedback. Also thought of doing a hotel but they seem to be as expensive if we were to get 2 rooms vs. the 2bedroom condo.
Thanks Cheers

So this is near Lift 7. Here is an interactive Map of town, complete with Lift #'s etc:

Overall, I think your potential condo is about a 15-20 minute walk to the festival grounds but could be higher or lower since "near Lift 7" could mean a lot.

I think you should aim for closer accommodations if you can find them.

Here's another map I found. Your condo is near the lower left hand corner while the festival is lower right hand corner.

Me again - I agree with Billy - I think you can get closer - Boomerang & Cimmaron tend to be a little big & impersonal for my liking as well. Viking, Ore Station & Fall Line are all fairly reasonable & a bit closer for you.  I've booked on http://www.vrbo.com the last few years - seems a little easier to find my price range.  Happy to put in my 2 cents for what it's worth. If you cannot get closer, it's not too bad. You can walk in about 15 minutes or less. I think we stayed in Boomerrang or Cimmaron the years we did condos.. AND,we managed the walk fine with an infant and toddler. We had stroller and baby backpack.

The entire Town of Telluride is 8/10ths of one mile long. Pick a place within your budget and we'll see you in June!  Thumbs Up

Yea, but if you're not from 8000'  it can fell like a 5K run, especially with all the gear a person needs to haul if they're staying for the entire day!  EEK! EEK!

Thanks everyone! I took your advice and will check out that VBRO site. I guess my only other question would be that there are sooo many condos on there and they really dont tell you specific location/address so I would have to email them all I guess. Ill keep searching!
Cant friggn wait!!!!! Cheers
