I will be camping @ Meadow Park for the first time with my 5yr old.  Does anyone know when I need to set up my tent in order to get Shade at Meadow Park?  The website says that camping will open on Monday.  I'm just wondering if Monday would work or should I try to set up my tent on Saturday or Sunday.  And is it OK to leave it up there by itself until I get up there on Thursday night?  I only worry because I'm a single parent.  Thanks!

Anywhere along the creek will be shady and fantastic.  Should be no problem for a small tent on Sunday or Monday...but the earlier the better.  Avoid the open field by the baseball diamond.  Have a great festival...I'm sure jealous of your 5 year old.  It must be wonderful to get to do stuff like this when you  are 5 yrs. old.

Shady spots are almost all taken the day the park opens for festival camping. Plan accordingly - or bring an army of EZ-Ups and make your own shade.
