i think thats a sweet idea ron
i dont know if you've heard of the film production company called jamcam, but they document festivals, from beginning to end, and all in between. lots of campground shots, and stage area shots.  several years ago, they filmed a fest i was working at called the jerry garcia birthday bash, which is held at sunshine daydream in west virginia, and the finished product was absolutely great.  interviews with festival goers, video of the campground, the layout, the stage setup, and more...
it definitley made for an awesome to way to reexperience the festival...
if you've got the equipment, i'd say go for it!  it sounds like a great idea, and i'd like to see some high quality video of town park too.
heres jamcams website:
http://www.jamcamdvd.com/
and a good clip from jam cam's site at the bday bash 05: (who know jerry could cook walnuts wrapped in bacon?)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCC-HEwq6pE&feature=related

it would be fun to help out with the video project too... and to get some late night picking on video in town park would be priceless

I'm in.  I have a pro HD camera that I'll bring along.

Three problems will surface:

1.  We won't get to shoot any of the concerts, except perhaps some Nightgrass.  TBF and the bands won't (or at least has never) allow vid cams.

2.  If we all shoot, we're gonna end up with 87 different tape formats.  We could solve it by knocking our footage down to DVD.

3.  Too much footage.  Just think how many people have really nice cameras these days.  You could end up with 100's of hours!

But it sure would be FUN!!!!

Don't forget about the guy who does the video that goes up, down, and all-around. I can't recall his name at the moment, but I think I have his business card at home.

Okay I remember: It's Enviropix.

And to think...all that footage, and once we edit it down to the things it's safe for other people to see, it'd only be a 60 second infomercial  Evil

Oh, and some of us *hate* video cameras pointing at us.  Y'hear me hippie?!

 LOL
