Made the big mistake last year of waiting till spring and ended up getting skunked on single day tix. Never again!! Besides whats better than taking (the full time) Thu - Mon in July to camp and listen to the best BG players on the planet. At least Sam came up to Steamboat (after last yrs Fri RG show) the next nite and kicked some ungodly ass. Stood about 8ft away from him the whole show. Yee Haw!!!
Line up looks good already for this year. I'd love to see Matt Flinner on stage (can only hope).
Still have question that maybe Planet bluegrass has answer for. Is there any chance of 2005 show that was filmed with 3+ cameras ever have a shot of being released some day?? The rumor was that the footage quality wasn't up to snuff. That was one stellar lineup and seems a shame that its never been mentioned since. I think in the program they made mention of Cd +Dvd in future.
Dispel the rumors ! Let us know whats up. Is there a chance?? Release the music!!
Check this guy out I think you're going to start hearing about him soon. Very talented writer + mando player.

For all those wondering about the status of the footage from RockyGrass 2005, it's still being safely stored along with footage from subsequent RG festivals in hopes of a historical DVD release of RockyGrass. As most of you know, it's almost impossible to recoup expenses by selling DVD's these days, so we look at this project more as a labor of love. Going forward, we're attempting to fill in some gaps from the early years and interview festival performers each year in hopes of a historical look at the festival. No release date scheduled at this point. But you all will be the first to know!

Happy Holidays,

Thank you Steve for clearing up this subject. I really thought it would have been a crying shame to not ever see some of that 05 footage. Now I know there's hope.          I'll be all over it whenever it does get released!! Oh yeah!

In the mean time, hopefully there's plenty of snow in the mts this season to satisfy "this skiers" severe powder addiction.  Oh yeah!! Oh yeah!!
    & Merry Hollidays
 Thanks again Powderglut
