My top three played artists right now:

Kruger Brothers
Boulder Acoustic Society (their new album is great)
Bela Zakir and Edgar

Runner up:
Sarah Jaroz (her debut album is worth checking out)

It would be great to see Allison Krauss and Union Station w/ Jerry and Tony back!!!

The Dead would be a very interesting late-night show!

I also have to second these bands:
OCMS
Seldome Scene
Steep Canyon Rangers w/ Steve Martin
Robert Earl Keen

TRAMPLED BY TURTLES!!!!!

Im already getting too damn excited for next year!!!!

im glad ya enjoyed them Wink
im gonna be seeing trampled by turtles pretty soon for the first time, and i can't wait, after all the good things i've heard about them

and something else that would stellar at festival would be.....
solo bela and friends!
we saw him in nashville last weekend, playing solo and abigail washburn and jerry douglas both came out and did a number with him.  solo bela is great! and with friends, the music is just top notch!

so, to add for a wish list at telluride, i'll have to say a bela and friends performance

I'll second that motion. Bela did that in 2008 at TBF and it was wonderful!

I like the Robert Earl Keen suggestion, real fun show.
Flatlanders ( Joe Ely, Jimmie Dale Gilmore and Butch Hancock)
Lots of EDGAR
Greensky again
Abagail Washburn
Gillian Welch and David Rawlings
Peter Rowan (Reggabilly?)
David Byrne again
Sarah Jarosz
Old and in the Grey

a few long shots- the dead, tom waits, wilco.

i am sure i could keep going, but maybe I will post again

Spencer Bohren just came through here and he was fantastic. Throughout his show he played a copper guitar, an acoustic guitar, an electric guitar, a pedal steel, a dobro, and a banjo. He was amazing. He mentioned a friendship with Tim O'brien, the two of them would be one hell of a show.

Mumford and Sons!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-lk1wkbWI6I

They're from London but massive folk and bluegrass fans. I think they have a great sound!

Giles and I went to see Little Feat at The Granada Theater in Dallas last night and they were absolutely incredible!

The question on my mind is: Why aren't they playing Telluride Bluegrass Festival 2010? Craig, if this incredible band is playing at a small venue like the Granada Theater, why don't you grab them and bring them up to Telluride next year?

Also I want to cast another vote for RRE and Cadillac Sky for next June!

Is it too soon to bring them back for another main stage set? 2007 was a long time ago. Purdy please???  Wink
