The Shannon Whitworth Band will be playing at the Sheridan Opera House on July 23
They are an awesome awesome awesome soulful bluegrass band with amazing vocals and a killer dobro and pedal steel player.  The guitar player, Jon Stickly has also played several years ago at the Telluride festival.  They just finished a Northeast tour including the big apple, conneticut, and mass, and a few shows around home in tennessee, nc, and sc.
They are from the Asheville area and are gonna be making it big soon, so catch them while ya can at a small venue like the Sheridan and you will not be dissapointed.  Trust me, this band is phenomenal.  There is also a good chance they will be making a surprise appearence at Rockygrass, so stay tuned for updates.....

Here's their west coast dates:

Oh man, I wish I could be there!!!
We listened to their album on the way back to Asheville, they're awesome! And Stickly is an amazing guitar player for sure, too bad I didn't get to see them play live  Frown

So anyone in the area for this, don't miss out! I mean, the Sheridan Opera House, it's such a great venue (mmmm, nightgrass shows...  :) ), there's no better place to be blown away by some fresh bluegrass sounds...

I'll just sit her in lousy London and sulk  Wink
