I think Ron and Deb may have some info for you as they got married at the festival a couple of years ago!

By posting this, you have contacted Ron. I'm sure you will have a response from him soon.

grab a marriage license at city hall.  i think they are ten bucks. (not sure if there is any wait time... but you can find that out online)

Technically you do not need a JP.. you can marry yourselves in the state of Colorado. However, if you want the repeat after me thing, you can find someone in TP park who is qualified to do that for you... or you can ask at city hall and a judge will probably be happy to accomodate you for a small fee....

Ron and Deb camp in Wander-In .. or look right next to the at Fishbone for an ordained person who will do it however you want it,  i am sure...

hope this helps.
 Cheers
happy wedding!

We have several ordained people in Town Park. Check in with one of the following camps:

Wanderin
Town Hall - The Mayor
Fishbone
Camp Billy...

I know it's too late to help you plan, but I hope you were able to make it happen at the Festival.  Two of my friends got married during the Festival several years ago, and it's one of my most special memories of 10 years at TBF.

They arranged with a local judge to perform the ceremony outside by the Beaver Pond.  They coordinated the ceremony with the festival lineup, so Bela Fleck and Edgar Meyer were playing in the background.  The site was close enough to hear them, but far enough away that the music didn't drown out the ceremony.

It was a beautiful sunny Saturday.  We wore flowers in our hair.

It was magical in every way!

I wish you the best.

TLC, I hope congrats are in order for you.   Cheers

My fiance and I got married in Telluride last Friday at the top of the gondola.  We facilitated the ceremony ourselves and everything was perfect -how could it not be at 10,500 elevation in Telluride with sunny, 70s weather???.  Telluride Tom was on standby just in case (thanks, Tom, for all your advice!).

thanks everyone! I was actually posting for the groom - he was out of town and asked for my help. He and his beautiful bride got hitched on sunday - summer solstice - at noon. The JP met us at our tarp and following the wedding, WPA serenaded us ( and the rest of the park) with "You will always have my love." it was perfect!
