Would those wrapped dates bear any resemblance to the "Hooch" motivational poster?  Evil

I've had a couple of dates that would have been much more appealing had they been wrapped in bacon.

Good One , Mitch!  LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

That's brilliant Jerry!  I was thinking about the fruit date but I realize now re-reading my post that I was subliminally hoping to alter the wardrobe of any man lucky enough to date me at Telluride....

A date wrapped in apple cinnamon bacon....left out in the sun to slowly bake....I wouldn't even know where to start, um, eating my bacon  Evil

Ok -I am sending myself to the corner.

Sounds great!  We would like 4 pounds of bacon, the regular variety.  How do you want us to get money to you?  Also, what day would the bacon arrive?  Thanks for the post Clap Woo hoo

Never even heard of all that stuff...  EEK!
In England, bacon comes in a few simple varieties: smoked or unsmoked, and also, thick or thin cut as well, you can only have so much choice  LOL LOL LOL
In France on the other hand, bacon is not very popular, they like their pork dry cured in various shapes and sizes, from the jambon sec de montagne still on the joint that you hang in the pantry, to the different types of saucisson... but they never go further than rolling it in black pepper corns of throwing in a few olives or walnuts, but even that is considered extravagant  LOL  In other words: don't mess with a french man's meat!  LOL

This is what I have so far......
5 pds of Garlic/Pepper - Ron
5lbs of the apple cinnamon for making wrapped dates- Jess
Put Run a Muck down for least 1 case of uncured Garlic/Pepper
we would like 4 pounds of bacon, the regular variety.- Camp Lil Dell

Any more orders????
Oh and I was wrong  about the price it is 4.99/lb.   The regular bacon does come in the option of a 2lb er for less packaging waste...

So far, there are details....Black Canyon foods ( we may want more stuff from them- they off organic food delivery)) will pick up in Denver and keep in her cold storage.. She will be picking up the thurs before. She normally makes her delivery to Telluride on Weds so that would be June 10... I'll assume there should be some Abgater's there by then..  It will be flash-frozen...  It should be  able to be kept on ice until used  or does anyone have a contact with somewhere in Telluride that will hold for us in a walk-in?  Another option, black canyon foods in located in Olathe- looks close to Montrose so perhaps someone can pick up from there closer to when needed...

Also, from what i remember when i was in England...the "bacon" is really like our Canadian bacon...is that correct?

It's like ham.  Have you eaten ham?  If you've eaten ham then you've eaten Canadian bacon.  But, conversely, if you've eaten Canadian bacon then you have NOT eaten real bacon.  I think the term "Canadian bacon" came about due to the language barrier between ourselves and the French Canadians who were primarily traders back during the mid to late 1800's.  You know how French-speaking people are *wink wink*.
