With so many wonderful activities before and during the festival, I feel a tasty community breakfast is very fitting!!! We should throw in an egg's benny breakfast, or simply just a town park pot luck breakfast. The T.P. veterans seem to have quite a lock down in the outdoor cooking arena and it just seems fitting to have some kinda communal breakfast mixed in with the list of things that make Town Park soooo GREAT!!!

eggs, bacon, hash browns, hollandaise, mimosas, bloody's, ... :drool :drool

How's the forum feel? Any takers?

Wave We have a couple of TP wide breakfast activities planned, one at Run a Muck - The Opening Day Soudough waffle feed, and the Jailhouse/Bloody Mary morn. I'd be happy to free up a couple of burners and a weber to anyone that woud like to do the benedict thing. One burner for hollandaise, and one for poaching eggs, the bacon is already covered, and the weber can toast the muffins (SUR).

All it takes is a couple of folks to step up to the plate and offer to:
Poach eggs and asparagus
make holandaise
toast muffins
AND
most importantly hang around long enough to clean up the mess.

Any Takers?

I would suggest we do it in conjunction with the Bacon Fry/Pajama Pastries on Wednesday. Those that don't get a pastry will at least be able to get some sort of breakfast. Flower

Pastries, Bacon, Eggs Benedict, and Bloody Mary's.... Mmmmm good! Cheers

You'll just have to suffice with a breakfast anniversary, and an afternoon hot springs. Flower

Jailhouse Rock!

Think the Benedict should be the main fare at WanderIn with the pastries et, al. This is perfect! At the crossroads, got plenty of burners at both sides of the street and alot of folks to make it happen. And, pastries from Lala and Useless! THat baking is, I believe going to happen at the Mtn. Condo's the night before, but late to insure freshness!
Think we, with all the other camps help, can make this this a welcome breakfast to remember! Hippie, what ya think? WanderIn and RunAmuck! It's showing folks what we can do from both ends of the camp. Let's Rock and Roll!
By the way, great show the other night, Hippie!

Jailhouse Rock!

Oh Yeah! Eggs Benedict are my favorite! Short Story. On a road trip from Fairbanks, Ak to Phoenix. The days prior are another story, however, after throwing down in the desert we wandered into the Yosemite valley floor. Now I'm looking at some crazy rock and I am in awe! However, unshaven, dirty and just off quite a long trek, my friend Bill say's " The Ahwahnee Hotel has the best Eggs Benedict in the world!"We got some questioning looks, however we were seated.  Ever since that day, when the opportunity presents itself, I look for those that specialize in Eggs Bene!
At any rate, I have been struggleing with this PJ breakfast menu thing. Benedict is perfect, and can make this happen for the masses. So....I'm for the bene's wth the pastries! Do you think the British folks will be upset? Don't they eat Eggs Benedict in England? Their loss!
The Ahwahnee Hotel and Yosemite are some of the great places in the world. And yes, their Eggs Benedict were out of this world.
