Okay, I'm still biting.

UJo - since my first explanation was admittedly short on details, read this thread for some more enlightenment:

Okay, I'll bite. What is a free box? I'm already regretting the fact that I asked. LOL

It's a place where there is free stuff that can make all of your wildest dreams come true!  Thumbs Up

Wave  OK - - - It is a magic place where people discard the things they do not need so that the people who need them cand pick them up. It might be a couch, sequined dress, pair o skis, blender, or  a lawn chair. You probably won't find your dream there, unless you're really lucky... Oh yeah! It's in downtown Telluride, just ask around.

Thanks everyone for enlightening me on the subject of Gondola (or should I start practicing gone duh luh?!?) and Condo, I feel much better  :)
I'm seriously keen on the Gondola trip, I've ridden in one once in the german Alps and it was really beautiful to see the snowcaped mountains from that perspective... Would we be riding it at night to go to the Nightgrass shows? Do you get a panoramic view of the starlit sky? Ooooooh I'm so excited!!!!
The free box concept sounds like fun, I bet you can pick up some real treasures in there...

The view going up the Gondola is pretty cool, beautiful view of the town and the box canyon, it certainly blew me away last year, just remember to take a 'road beer'*.  My group went up real early before the show and sat in the plaza outside the center having a couple beers/shots/apps before wandering into the show, just a fun relaxing time all around.

And even cooler was coming back down after the show and seeing the town lit up at night before wandering back to Town Park for a long night of drinking and tunes

  CAN NOT WAIT lol
 Cheers

*not condoning public drinking.....but a guy gets thirsty on his way to a show.

Last year I took my first ride ever on the gondola with Dustin and a few bikes.  LOL Special to say the least, but what really caught me off guard was being tired and leaving the Younder show just a tad early, only to catch a gondola by myself. I rode alone into the darkness and then topped the ridge to be amazed at the beautiful full moon over Telluride. You can't imagine the beauty until you've done it yourself!  Medal

Does the Wednesday night YMSB concert typically sell out?  If so how soon does one need to buy tickets after the 3/31 announcement?

About 10 SECONDS after they go on sale. It's a very coveted ticket, hence the condition "OND"...

I will be watching the Nighgrass tickets page like a Hawk!!! I definitely suffer from OND  LOL
I really really  really really really really really want to see a show up in Mountain Village at night and ride the gondola, it sounds soooo awesome!!!
Do the tickets go on sale on the 31st am or what? I've got to figure out the time difference with the UK, cos I have a terrible feeling I'll be at work when they go on sale...  Frown

actually...the Wed. night Conference center shows lasted for a couple of days last year, if memory serves me right.

I'm not saying that will happen again this year, but that's the story from last year.

The shows lasted for a couple of days? Man, that sounded like one sweet party.  LOL

Yonder's Friday night show at The Sheridan Opera House has historically sold out the fastest in recent years since the venue holds less than 400 people (that whole supply/demand thing) - it's probably the hottest Nightgrass ticket.

Unless Dustin produces some inside info... Wink....which he has.
